    Absolutely delighted for them

Thought they were out of it with the sacking of Jol but with the win at home against Twente they clinch the title

Losing Suarez halfway through makes it even better imo.

would he still get a medal?

Frank de Boer has done wonders for them too. With PSV the riches club in the Netherlands and with Ajax in debt they just didnt have the money to spend on the players

Its such a great accomplishment to them

Don't think so. I guess, he was not under a contract with Ajax anymore after going to Liverpool

Delighted, Ajax are far too big a club to be going 8 years without a league title. Hopefully they can push on and give a better account of themselves in Europe from now on.

Very much delighted for them. Shocking their last league win was in 2004!

Credit to Twente as well. As ever with Eredivisie the really exciting title race going down to the wire.

If he played enough games, then yes he is eleigible.

When Cork City won the league in 2005, Kevin Doyle was eligible for a medal despite having signed for Reading 5 months previous.

That's where I heard something different. I'm in a German web community and a football supporter from the Netherlands says, you loose any entitlements when you leave the club, because your contract is terminated

I hear Eriksen is the absolute cat's pyjamas.

He is talking nonsense, Suarez has enough appearances to get a medal.

Yes I think Suarez leaving really benefited Eriksen and Siem de Jong who have been absolutely brilliant this season for us.

I'm a little drunk after spending the afternoon biting my nails in a pub in Dublin with about 20 Amsterdammers.

I can't really explain how happy I am today. It really hasn't sunk in. After losing in such a harsh way last year I really never thought we could win this year, especially as we barely led all season, and lost our best player and manager.

Thing now is how many players stay. I reckon de Jong and Eriksen will stay a bit longer at least but the real worry is the defense. Vertonghen and van der Wiel both tipped to leave as well as Stekelenburg our keeper. But that's all talk for the summer. Right now we can celebrate our 30th league title (are you watching Sir Alex?) which means a third star on our famous jersey!

Unbelievable end to the season, the top 2 playing each other on the last day and if PSV had won it would have meant the loser coming 3rd not 2nd. But at least Twente get the consolation of the CL spot. I never had anything against them (except Theo Janssen) but they really were undeserving winners last time.

I could go on and on all day as it begins to sink in but for now there's not a smiley face big enough to post on this forum. Great win! Great season! And now onwards, hopefully making a good impression on Europe next season.

    Frankie! Frank deBoer!
