I'm just wondering if it's normal for a payslip not to state hours worked and pay rate?

Normally it would state your hours at the least as that is the way to verify that you are getting paid for the hours that you worked. I would find it very odd that it showed no hours or pay rate TBH.

Yeah I though it was weird too. In a previous job the hours and rate were clear on the payslip.
I get paid monthly don't know if that has anything to do with it? but I will inquire. From my own calculations the figure is right.
Am I entitled to have a slip from them saying what hours I did and what rate they are paying me?

possibly a silly question - are you paid per hour or are you on contract?

If you are paid per hour, most payroll systems will be able to show hours worked and rate of pay. Of course, it's possible for the payroll operator to just input your gross pay.

I'm paid per hour and those hours worked can vary week to week (21+).
