Anyone know if there is a left luggage place anywhere in Carcassonne?

Going there next month. I'm flying from Dublin, my pals from Cork. I arrive at 10am and they get in at 4.30pm.

I've no problem wandering around until they arrive, but hate dragging the wheelie bin with me all the way.

It appears there is no left luggage either in the airport, or the train station.

    Any ideas anyone?

    Thanks.

I had a similar problem, went into the Hotel Terminus across from the station, had a drink in the bar and asked the barman if I could leave the bag there while I went to the Cite. Had another drink when I got back, so it probably wasn't free, but worth it.

Not a bad idea. Thanks. Did the barman have any problem with that, you know, security etc. I have a feeling he will look for a fiver, but what the hell, no wheelie bin trekking around has to be good!

A few websites mention that there's a left luggage facility near the railway station, at Hotel La Bastide Saint Louis, 42, Rue Barbes. Price quoted is €3.00 for half-day and €5.00 for one day.

No problem with security, I got the impression that it wasn't the first time he'd been asked.

Just to update anyone who needs left luggage in Carcassonne.

I emailed the above hotel hoteldelelabastide@wanadoo.fr from info obtained via Office de Tourisme de Carcassonne.

No problem. I left the bag and was charged 3 or 4 euro can't remember. Great.

    Hi Folks,

I was searching for the exact thing, overnight bike bag storage in Carcassone (June/July), close to the airport.

The quoted hotel (La Bastide) is closed now.
Does anyone know of any other options?

    Thanks
    James

Contact the Tourism Office in Carcassonne. They were great last time I was there and directed me to the hotel mentioned above, which is closed now seemingly.
