Problem with shower. Mira elite 2

I have a Mira elite 2 shower which heats the water itself. Lately I have noticed that that is difficult to regulate the temperature. It sometimes comes hot and sometimes too cold. Playing around with the guage usually sorts it. Is there anyway of sorting this out. Shower is around six years old. A:confused:
