Outlook 2010 send/receive?

Hi, for some reason, Outlook 2010 downloads emails despite having no schedule configured. This is causing me a headache, as I use Mailwasher Pro to filter my emails before allowing Outlook to do a manual receive. I am not sure what time this happens, but the emails are being downloaded during the night/early morning before 9am, just the once.

Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this?

    Thx.

How is your mail setup? Imap or pop?

You'll need to check if Outlook is setup to do check automatically to download messages.

Read this article which is quite good in walking you through the changed layout in Outlook 2010. There should be a way of switching it off completely.

    Good luck

As I stated in my message, I do not have any send/receive scheduled. All I have ticked in the send/receive options is to include the 'all accounts group' in the send/receive. It seems very strange that it would do the send/receive once sometime overnight. Outlook 2007 never used to do that on this system.

I'm not an expert on Outlook as I've found it cumbersome and not very flexible, I find Mozilla Thunderbird to be much better. However I came upon this which might help you resolve the auto download issue.
