No such thing as a freesat dish, the dish you have points at the same satellite as a sky dish so simply connect the skybox to it and viola you get channels. If the card in the box is expired take it out of the box as it blocks nearly all the decent fta channels.
There's many threads about this topic already so do a bit of searching on the forum to find them.

You will have to tune Channel 5 into 'other channels' though as it doesn't appear on the main epg.Set up to 50 channels as favourites also so you can use just the blue button on the remote to cycle through them, then simply hit select to view the channel you want.
Is it a hd box you have? If so you'll have to tune in a load of the 'English' channels into other channels as sky did an update to the software that leaves it stuck on the Irish epg.
Check the sticky on how to tune them in.

Yes, no strings attached! Not even a viewing card necessary though the Other Channels menu will still be needed The satellite dish is pointing at the same satellites that broadcast both services essentially.

Btw, that's awfully ratty of Sky to release such an update for the Sky HD box considering users own the box...

Do now call it freeview....freeview is a terrestrial system that uses an aerial in the Uk only.

If you have a box capable of receiving Hd then you can use it to pick up BBC HD, BBC1 HD, ITVHD and NHK news Hd...

If you have a skyhd box and have an ftv card then you will also get ch4 and ch5hd
