Amazing idea, amazing technology, amazing functionality, horrible price tag and awful guitar design?

One of the guitar builders on OSG puts the guts of a Moog guitar into something very sexy

Meh, both are ugly and I think the Mooooooooog is ****e anyway.
It's an interesting idea but I really don't like it.

    You're pronouncing it wrong :p

I think it's an incredible guitar, but putting it in the superstrat-style package was a really bad move... Most of the people interested in it aren't metal guys, so why make the perfect synthesiser geek's guitar and package it for shredders? The price is like half what it was now too... If they came like this stock I might be saving...

Lovely looking guitar I reckon, love the Bigsby. Wonder what the craic is with the pickups though?

    A nice improvement!

At first I really wanted one but then I listened to the demos on the Moog site. I think I'll stick to my eBow and a bunch of pedals...

Yup, it's pronounced like vogue except with an m. :)

I love the look of the guitar in the OP. The carve on it is amazing! :)

Ah, I know how it's pronounced, o just prefer calling it muge because, well I don't know why. It just rolls better. :)

The binding and the back of that guitar I do like but I've always had a thing against black guitars.

They're Moog's pickups, they're specific to getting all the wizardry to work afaik. The builder got rid of the piezo bridge that the original had, which apparently actually improved the performance of the rest of the circuitry.

And I LOVE the tort binding

Apparently there's a bit of a buzz around the Moog Music factory about the guy who built it. Well-deserved :)
