Autograss racing tomorrow and sunday,well worth a look

just spreading the word that theres racing at down autograss both days this weekend that would be well worth a look,
everything from standered minis to v8 or twin bike engined rwd minis will be racing both days..the 2 videos below give an idea of what the whole sport about as not many people seem to know about it..

anyway should be good entertaining racing seens as it has'nt stopped raining all week,racing starts about 12 each day.

I know a girl who races up there she reckons its great craic! the only thing is the videos you posted up is nothing like the track in down, the track is tighter and narrower and not great for watching, went up once myself didn't think much of it, each to their own though.

was just wondering if it was a normal club day you had gone to or am all ireland round,presuming your talking about eater 2011 which was a pretty good turnout in most classes but the whole weekend did'nt run so well to be honest..

last year there was rarely over 50 cars at normals days racing in down,this year the club membership has almost doubled and at the first event of 2011 there was almost 100 drivers racing, more racers = more competition = better entertainment...

you should come and have a look on june 4/5th when there is an all ireland round on,there'll be racers from as far as bandon,wales and scotland at that and would expext there to be easily over 100 cars racing at what should be a great weekends racing..respect your opinion though,just hope it was'nt based on a half days viewing of a small club meeting...
