Anyone else feel embarassed by people calling her "The Queen"

    British Queen, Queen Elizabeth, The Queen of England, yer wan with the crown. All acceptable titles.

    There are however many queens and while I probably know which one you mean its showing undue connection to refer to her in the definitive as if she was your ruler.
    My American friend pointed that out to me somewhat confused at the number of Irish people referring to the head of state of another country as "the queen" as if she belonged to them.
