Hi all, I'm not sure if I'm in the right forum for this question but I'm hoping someone could help me... A friend got a Dodger trike for my son a couple of years ago but as he was too small for it at the time it was put away and forgotten about!! We took it out today to put it together for his birthday and discovered that a connection between the battery and the starter/key was damaged. As the trike had been left up for so long I don't want to have to ask my friend now where he got it and I have no idea where to look for spare parts. Anyone got any ideas?? Thanks

This is a pic of the damaged part. Would anyone be able to tell me if this would be a standard part or even what it is?

katie.........what's a 'Dodger' trike ?? Is it an electric thing, or has it an engine ?

Either way, that just looks like a switch of some kind that has come apart. If it were me I'd ask a local electrician, or even mechanic or fitter (do you know any - any kind should do), and fit get them to fit a new off-the-shelf switch from an electrical wholesaler's. A panel switch or something should do the job, as it's probably only 12v/24v.

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Thanks for your help. Got an electrician friend to have a look and he said he'd fix it no bother.
