Reuters: Porn found inside bin Laden's compound

U.S. commandos who raided Osama bin Laden's compound also recovered a "fairly extensive" stash of pornography, including videos, Reuters reports.
The news agency quotes unidentified current and former U.S. officials as saying it is unclear where in the sprawling compound the material was found nor is it clear who had been viewing it.


The officials specifically say they do not know if bin Laden himself had acquired or viewed the materials, Reuters reports.


Recently released home videos showed bin Laden viewing pictures of himself on a TV screen, indicating that the compound did have equipment for playing videos.

But pornography is illegal in Pakistan.

For all we know these were planted in an effort to sway the opinion of those who might be inclined to jihad now Bin Laden has been martyred.
It would certainly be in the interest of a western intelligence agency to do such things. I assume this is why the released video were edited in such a way to show a vainglorious and conceited man. Such images might dispel the myth of a man living an ascetic life, in so doing dealing a blow to his followers and ensuring Al Qaeda recruiters have a harder time convincing young Muslims to devote their lives to fighting the infidels
