I was just thinking that if someone wanted to do a new Stargate show they might want to base it around Novus. First of all its in a different galaxy altogether so we can once again get the nice sense of being underpowered from the first few seasons of SG 1 or first season of Atlantis.
Also this might serve as sort of a soft reboot since the canon is kept but its pretty much irrelevant. You have the bad guys (drones and maybe even the blue alliens) already established. You could build brand new mythology, and have the first episode be Destiny dropping off their descendants on the planet with cameos from well established characters.
It might even serve to get the Universe fans interested as this would pretty be a spinoff to universe. What do you guys think?

While i think that is a fantastic idea, The whole idea behind it is based on the viewers that have already have watched Stargate universe, Which doesn't seem plausible since that show got cancelled because of low ratings. Can't see Syfy backing another Stargate show anytime soon.

Problem is viewership, But mainly that the internet age has taken over in terms of watching TV! Its a lot easier, Cheaper and more efficient for people to use the internet to watch TV, This doesn't bold well for ratings

I think the only course of action is a game, Screw Stargate words, Seeing as that has been in development for over a year.

I really think game would allow the story line to continue and expansions for the game are all that is needed, It would cost a lot less amount of money and would allow for each person to give there own to the story, The Stargate franchise is way to powerful for it to be over completely.

A lot of fans where turned off due to the lack of action,a sg1 style action fest would be good but a lack of any form of life in that galaxy really hinders it:(

my idea is stargate lt.boobs,a show where we follow lt.boobs embark on a porn career pre military :pac:

The more I think about it SGU would have been better served as an official book series. Similar to Dune. And boy do I ever love the **** out of the Dune metaseries.

Perhaps if they did it with Russians instead.

sgus problem wasnt even the lack of action, more action would have been great but only because it would paper over the **** characters, bad writing and general laziness of the show.
