What's a good brand for rugby prescription goggles?

    Hello all,
Recently found out that I can't wear glasses during tag rugby matches (have been doing training up to now), and thus need rugby prescription goggles. So, I was wondering if anyone knows what brands are good for this sort of thing, or where in Dublin specializes in this?

My prescription is with Donal Mac Nally Opticians (used to be with Urban Eye Care, but they're moving atm), so if going by brand, will order though them, but if there's a shop that specializes in it, I may goto them instead.

I didn't know such things existed. I can't imagine how they would be safe while not reducing your field of vision. Would you not be better off getting contact lenses?

As WeeBushy said can you wear contact lenses? Any of my mates who play and normally wear glasses just wear contacts.

I'm nearly certain that you're not allowed to wear sports goggles in union. You might shell out a good bit of cash on goggles to find out that you can't wear them in tag either.

Didnt BOD wear goggles of some sort at some point in the early 2000s for games? I seem to remember someone of that era having them.

They don't seem to be mentioned specifically in the laws or regulations:
A player may wear headgear which must bear the IRB Approval Mark (Regulation 12).

If you read regulation 12, it's clear that headgear specifically means a scrum cap.

Had a long reply, but the PC BSOD'd, so here's the gist of what I wrote:

Can't wear contact lenses, as the lenses will pop out when I blink due to tight eyelids.

    The ITRA rules say:
Players may not wear spectacles or sunglasses while playing. Players who need corrective
lenses in order to play should use soft contact lenses or sports goggles.
So it's okay. Also, Tag Rugby is a non-contact sport, so there's less physical contact, but as accidents do happen, it's a good idea.
