Have no facts to back this up, just purley speculating.

We never realy know what goes on behind closed doors. Has anyone ever wondered if this organisation is set up to make IRA, republican and nationalist extremists look ridiculous. I mean this guys always come across as bat sh!t crazy or just totally unreasonable, and just hearing about their silly antics make me cringe. Maybe they were set up to promote public perception the other way, possibley to promote good relations between the two countries and smear rather extreme republicans/nationalists.

    Again, it's all speculation:D

im sure certain groups would exist but not in the case of eirigi. as far as im aware colin duffy is a member who is on remand for allegedly killing two soldiers in belfast. they would be pretty fanatical all right.

on another note, israels intelligence service is alleged to have created hamas but it backfired but it goes to show type of tactics used by governemnts in response to insurgents

I remember reading somewhere Eirigi lost a lot of their initial high profile members because they were seen as not being hardcore enough on the armed struggle question. I think Colin Duffy left too.

Their ideology is building a mass movement of people in support of a 32 county socialist(in the removal of capitalist means of production sense of the word) republic.

Calling them "dissident republicans" is disingenuous in the extreme IMHO as it has been established since 1998 that that term is used to describe militant groups
