The kid looks like she is fat maybe she should worry about that and not the apparent wrinkles

I'd hate to see the mothers before pix.

During the interview, Britney revealed the reasons she gets the injections.

“I just don’t think wrinkles are nice for little girls.”

Since when do eight-year-olds have wrinkles? Are they getting wrinkles confused with the temporary creases you get when your face is able to move?

I've no issue with the mother, vile cretins like her can be found everywhere. What's sickening is that adults (cameraman/woman etc) would film the, I suppose torture isn't really a leap to describe her abuse, rather than protect the child until the police arrived.

    Botox the new healthy food:rolleyes:

if she's going to botox a kids face she could at least do it right.

Everyone knows you scare the child before applying the botox!!

If you can read this, you're too close!

Kid also looks a bit plump, so she'd be getting lyposuction as well then?

I just hope the above are jokes. It's hard to tell sometimes.

“It looks way better. Beautiful, pretty, like all those kinds of nice words.”

    Sad, just sad.

Until people stop being so ****ing shallow, this will only get worse.

Not really the mother is obviously overweight and the kid looks overweight in the pictures too.

The mother does look heavy, but the comment directed at her was about her wrinkles. I'll spell it out - that kind of BS actually confirms the mother's and daughter's deluded reasoning for injecting a toxin into their skin. Well done!

FFS all you can see of the child is her face and shoulders. But you've decided she's fat. Lovely.

Why would anyone do that to a little girl? 'You're not pretty enough..so we'll inject you to pretty you up a bit..'.
So sad. I always thought all Mothers thought their child was the most beautiful in the world. I know I do about my kids.

All of those comments have been tounge in cheek with regards to the mothers approach.

Just like the topic "7yr botox" topic last week...

Well you spelled it out wrong. Obesity is a real health issue and the kid looks overweight from what we can see of her. Normally you don't have to see somebody's entire body to know they are overweight. It is not about astetic of being thin but the reality that if you are overweight at 8 you ain't going to be a healthy weight as an adult more so if your parents are overweight.

So yes I think the kid is probably overweight based on what we can see of her but it isn't BS about appearance.

Actually, in the interview I watched yesterday, the mother said she not only gives the child botox, but waxes her legs.

And unfortunately, the assumption by some that she's overweight aren't far off; they showed home video of her playing, skipping around and while she's not fat, she's leaning towards the chunky side - which with her mother can only mean she'll have lipo some day.

It's horribly sad, really. This is why so many young girls grow up to have so many issues with their appearances. I honestly believe she's too young to have come up with the idea of getting botox on her own; that's such a ridiculous fcuked up excuse created by the mother, and I'm glad authorities are investigating the woman now.

"Leaning towards the chunky side" is not abnormal for children that age. They have a lot of growing to do and there is no reason to think they won't shoot up in the next few months and be less slightly overweight.

I think it's unhealthy for people to start obsessing about weight that early in life. If a child is obese and clearly unhealthy that's one thing, but that isn't the case here. That this panic about fatness that could lead to somewhat chunky children being called fat worries me, which is why I was hoping it was joking.

Where is the father in all this?

I suppose you can't expect women to raise children properly on their own.

No, I totally agree...it's not abnormal at all, and sure, she could grow out of it as you said - most kids do, whether because their bodies change or because their parents change their lifestyle to promote a healthier living. And yes, it's very unhealthy for children to obsess over their bodies at that age, and it's made worse by jokes and bullying and the like, and the media in a lot of cases.

My point was, with her mother giving her botox for supposed wrinkles at the age she is now, that any sign of weight gain would more than likely be treated in the same way, which would mean lipo, or an eating disorder because the child is so worried about being perfect.

What this woman is doing is sickening. As a parent, it's your responsibility to love your child unconditionally for who they are, so that they in turn love and respect themselves.

I'd love to hear what a social worker would have to say. I think its ridiculous, 10yrs of age having botox something seriuosly wrong with the mother even considering it!

"Mum and part-time esthetician Kelly ". Esthetician, good crazy ****stick Jeebus on hot dog stand selling flavoured mice to kids. Esthetician? You couldn't make this shíte up. Oh wait, you could. Oh to be able to pop a cap in that heffers head and give the child to some decent parents.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

I understand this is AH and all but how can you joke about this? It's not in the slightest bit funny. This is just tragic. The poor little girl. Her life is doomed. The mother is a stupid fuuking dicckhead. If I could get my hands on her...

The child is being assaulted by her mother and social services should be on this.

Sometimes the world seems so fcuked up it doesn't seem real and the only way to deal with it is to joke about it. It doesn't mean the jokers are any less sickened by this abusive mother. Yet another parent trying to live their life through their child. Mind you personally I think these child pageants are akin to a form of child abuse. All children should be beautiful to their parents. They shouldn't need a competition that.

Yeah, I note that the mother is named Kelly and she named her daughter Britney. Newsflash: knacker fashionably-named people use botox because they crave more acceptance.

Some people have a strange sense of humour. Not everyone out there is going to feel compassion or be sickened about what is being done to that child. It's hard to know from the comments how they're intended. We don't know each other here. I wouldn't presume every joke here is just their way of "dealing with it". I'd presume some of them are just being thoughtless idiots. Sad when we've become so desensitised to the world that we can joke about child abuse. I thought comedy was supposed to be funny?

From The English Times this afternoon.
A British woman who admitted on US national television injecting Botox into her eight-year-old daughter to help her compete in beauty pageants has lost custody of the girl, according to reports.

Child Protective Services (CPS) in San Francisco started an investigation this week after Kerry Campbell, said to be originally from Birmingham, appeared on Good Morning America to tell how she injected her daughter Britney with the anti-wrinkle treatment.

Britney has been removed from the home by the CPS and taken into their custody while an investigation is conducted, according to several American news organisations.
The San Francisco Chronicle reported however that Mrs Campbell “is not who she says she is”, suggesting that she had used a false name when speaking to the media and that she may not be living in the San Francisco area.

Officials in San Francisco received hundreds of calls to a child abuse hotline after Britney told Good Morning America that the injections “hurt sometimes, but I get used to it”.
“It’s pretty unusual for a mom to be injecting an eight-year-old with Botox and certainly is grounds for an investigation,” said Trent Rohrer, of the San Francisco social services department.

Mrs Campbell has claimed that the use of Botox is widespread on the children’s beauty contest circuit – a claim that has been denied by pageant organisers and other mothers, who have branded use of the treatment “crazy”.

Mrs Campbell said: ‘When Britney takes part in pageants, parents talk about how they have given their daughter an extra jab to plump her lips or lose a wrinkle.
“Everyone is doing it and talking about it. We are not doing anything illegal, and I don’t want my daughter being the only one who doesn’t have a bit of extra help.”
She refused to say where she obtained the Botox.

“What I am doing for Britney now will help her become a star,” shwe said. “I know one day she will be a model, actress or singer, and having these treatments now will ensure she stays looking younger and baby-faced for longer.
“All I want is for Britney to have the best start in life, so it is easier for her to become a superstar.”

^ at least, that's some good news for now for the kid to stay away from her crazy mom. But still, no one knows for sure what's going on in that kid's mind. She might have issues growing up and think that what her mom did was just ok.
