Landini Blizzard 95

Can anyone give me a rundown on the Landini Blizzard 95 tractors.
What are the good and bad points?
I know rust was a problem, but the one I am enquiring about is in UK, is year 1999 and apparently is zinc coated under the paint, so rust not an issue.

How about the transmission and gear change?
Brakes? I'd be pulling a slurry tanker fair distance on hilly main roads. Need good brakes? I assume wet disc brakes on these, should be ok. Am I correct?

Does anybody know about the PTO engagement system?
Is it kind of tricky to get PTO engaged sometimes, or do these tractors have a habit of jumping out of PTO?

Appreciate any good info I can get, particularly if it's from a first hand Landini user.

    Thanks

not a firsthand user but I know a fair bit about the landinis

basically a good workhorse rugged but reliable many with 15k hours clocked with no major hassle

if it has a manual shuttle watch for wear and excessive noise , costly fix if worn , usually gives problems if engaged while not stationary or travelling opposite direction

also check front axle pin and bushing again a costly fix but trouble free if regularly greased with correct lube

pto is engaged by a hand clutch and if properly adjusted should be trouble free

The one I am thinking about, has low hours at 4200. Did not have a loader at any stage, so I would be hopeful the shuttle did not get too much use and hopefully no abuse.

I got pictures in the post just there a while ago, and in fairness it does seem very tidy. He also sent me a copy of service history at main Landini dealer. If the service history is genuine, the tractor got great care. He wants £12500. €18k landed for me including Vat and transport.

Also looking at MF390. Coming at similar money. Looks tidy also. 7 years older and 4000 more hours on the clock.

    Decisions, decisions!!

At 18K the landini is a bit out of value and that 390 is way over valued, did you enquire about these?

The last one looks a bit rough for the hours and a fair amount of rust beginning to appear

Pictures in the post could be of any tractor, you would want to go and see it.

Rust was the enemy of the Landini, but if you are getting one from late nineties onwards, they will be zinc plated.
If the hours are genuine on that one, it should be ok.
