    Hi all,

Wondering if anyone could put my mine at ease. Basically im coming to the end of a chemical engineering degree at the moment and I was thinking of doing a petroleum masters after. Its an area I really want to get into BUT there is a problem. Though I intend to work in the petroleum industry where ever that may take me, I would like the option at least to one day return to Ireland so my question is this: If someone has several years experience in the petroleum industry and tries to find a job here (say pharma or chem industry) would he be turned away for not having specific experience in these areas or is it possible to cross over?

the pharma industry does seem to be fairly specialized.

just check out a few of their adverts on any job website.

you should also keep mcs kenny in mind. they are based in galway and might be of interest to you.
