Meteor Data Monitoring?

I just sent a txt to a friend who is babysitting for me. The txt read that I would get goodies and some movies for them.

Around 30 seconds after sending it I got a txt offer from Meteor (exlcusive offer) for two movies, a soft drink and popcorn. Obviously this is not a co-incidence. I know google does this for mail accounts which is fine as they are free.

Not sure how happy I am about Meteor trying to sell to me on the basis of personnal correspondence.

Anyone else noticed this or have any thoughts?

I got the same text This morning about this offer available through meteor "goodidebag".

They are not monitoring your texts just offering a deal in the same way other networks do.

    Coincidence!

A good friend of mine works for them and said she received an email that marketing were SMS'ing x amount of customers.

You have nothing to worry about, but I'd say it was Wierd to get the sms after you sent that.
