A mate I've mine who works in Boylesports head office text me this morning to say there was a big bet put on Jedward to win the Eurovision! What sort of person would risk big money on this...

Checked the Boyles website and they've moved into 4/1.. Had a score on them there, anybody reckon that's a decent bet??

Here's an interesting stat I saw on a forum last night.
The Eurovision act that has been googled the most number of times before the show in the last 4 years (Google around before then?) was won it every year and the most googled act this year is...................Jedward!
Somebody trying to get 2k on at 6's on Betfair at the moment.

Don't believe the Louis Walsh hype machine. You're here in Ireland listening to it all. The story coming out of the continent is very different.

I'd be very surprised if they're anywhere near the top at the end, though I wouldn't rule out a sympathy vote for our economic collapse leading to a token fifth or sixth place moral victory.

There was supposedly a 5k bet put on them http://www.rte.ie/ten/2011/0510/eurovision.html

I would be surprised if they aren't up there.
By no means talented but they're energetic and Europe seems to like them - a lot.
Yesterday was the best vocal performance I've ever heard from them, although I can't say I listen to them - at all.

Top 10 they should be, maybe even top 5.

Glad I got them at 20/1 before all the hype caused their odds to plummit :)

1/2 Best price for top 10 finish. Surely this should bet of the Eurovision?

There is no way jeward will come near winning, the only reason the odds dropped where because the bookies had to big exposure/Risk on them.Every year we are ranked up there to win it odds wise pherhaps due to our history. Remember last year with Niamh Kavanagh people where saying we could win it and finished third last. The vast majority of people on the continent don't know who jeward are and the fact that half the votes will be made by a panel will go against them. Looking at current odds betting on them to finish outside the top 12 look far more tempting then inside it.

Does anyone know what Bookies has the best odds at this stage, meant to back them yesterday when they were 6/1 not sure if its worth it now at this stage!

their position in the final is a problem, they're on quite early in 6th, the winners generally fall later in the event.

got a small bet on back when they were 14/1. got 2/1 on them to beat UK too. PP have closed that market since.

They'll get close, but I'm not sure they can win it.

PS it isnt just louis walsh hype, twitter almost collapsed under them last night, they are getting massive media coverage europe wide..

I couldn't do it as i'd have to watch it then.
Its like a bad acid trip as it is.

I do think that politically , Ireland's bailout is the problem with other countries voting for us.
We have no friends or credability in europe right now .

Louis Walsh said he doesn't think they can win.

On another note, who cares what Boyle's price is, it's irrelevant, betfair is the market.

Got a lump on at 16 and flogged a lot back at 13 and a little more at 7.

I have a little bit left on them which I will leave. France still excellent value at 2/1.
