Yes, a fantastic job. Would be nice to see it used a bit now too.

It should be used to lead O'Bama's cavalcade from the Airport. :p

good idea that, actually - you should email the Embassy about it - just to have it IN the cavalcade would be novelty

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Tasty job in fairness, I heard the car was damaged after the River Fergus flooded Ennis a while back.

PJ says he didn't refurbish the car for any political reasons but if I know the man, I'm sure he was thinking "hmmm this is a good way of getting some support of a few Fianna Fáilers'".

I've seen the Dodge around Sixmilebridge but never knew the significance attached to the car until I read it in the Champion yesterday.

    Fair play to him regardless.
Great to see such an historic car looking good again!

Pity we havnt a national motor museum where we could display it along with 'Dev's Rolls'?!

Great to see an historic motor restored and looked after...

However, on a political level, Dev was as guilty as Bertie in selling us for his ends. IMHO.

At least Dev warned the country to be vigilant about the Common Market, (EU) and the dangers of loosing our sovereignty. He would have turned in his grave the day Lisbon was voted in.

Only because he wanted to keep us in the dark ages.
