Would it be illegal to cut foreigners' dole by 50%?

I think any non-Irish person receiving benefits should have their dole cut by 50%. I know it's not going to happen, but would it actually be illegal to do that, if the government announced it tomorrow? The fordiners receiving dole here are of no benefit to Ireland at the moment. Why can't they just go home and be unemployed instead of wasting our money?

Of course there are also many Irish dole scroungers who are of no benefit, but Ireland is their home... so we can't really tell them to go home.

I'm not racist, but... what do you think?

If they have worked and have been made redundant then they should receive the same as an Irish. I am however against the Irish state paying child benefit to foreign workers children who are living outside Ireland. I'm not sure what the going rate for child benefit is in Poland but Ireland pays twice the UK rate, if the EU force Ireland to pay child benefit to foreign workers children who are living outside Ireland then it should ne paid at local rates.
