Entering yellow boxes when turning

So I was coming to a T-junction today that I have to drive through to get to work, and the (as I called them at the time, let's see if I was right to do so) "idiot" in front of me stopped at the lights with their right indicator flashing (I come from the minor road and turn right onto the main road). There was room in the junction for traffic to filter right without blocking the opposite lane The reason they didn't move out- The dreaded yellow box. I would have started to blast them out of it I wasn't 100% on the rules concerning the yellow junction. As far as I knew, when at a yellow box, you can't enter the box unless you are turning right and it doesn't obstruct traffic, so should I have been sitting on the horn?

I'm sorry but your post is confusing.
If you were coming to a "T" junction and there were traffic lights; then if the driver stopped in front of you the lights must have been red???????

I believe if your turning onto a main road you can enter the yellow box while waiting on traffic to move up, so anyone on main road must leave the yellow box free, correct me if i'm wrong

I'm not entirely sure I understand what you're asking, but I asked a similar question a few days ago, might be worth a read if we were meaning the same thing!

Thats what I would have said. Often there are 3 cars in a yellow box near me so when the light goes green for me I pull out and block the other 2 cars for being there :p One car in the box people:)

For starters it's illegal to use your horn except in emergencies to warn other motorists of your presence.

Only 1 vehicle can enter the junction at a time, which is rarely enforced. So even if they'd gone you couldn't legally follow them if the road was blocked.

So no you shouldn't have been sitting on the horn.
