What's the point?

    I was watched a video on a website, and when I clicked play it asked me to enter my age to prove I was old enough:rolleyes:
    Seriously, what's the point in that, I usually just rapidly scroll down the list and click as low as possible as I'm sure most people do and leave the rest at 1st/January.
    You don't even need to enter your age for porn!
    What really is the point?

    1)Verify age
    2)???
    3)Profit

    It just covers their arse if a kid sees something and complains to mommy and daddy and then they in turn get all het up and report the company for allowing children to view adult material. That way they can say:'Well, your child lied to view said material and so maybe teach your children not to lie and all will be well with the world'. Or something like that.
