laptop acting up help!!

Not sure why but laptop suddenly gone weird only over last few days dont know how to fix it

a) everytime i access a new web page it opens a new box not so end up either with lots of pages open or closing as i go

b) no button is dong as it should number oinly appear as symbols no matter what i do
cant type full stops just> regardless if i use shift button

c) when caps lock button on it types small when off it types everything big

game controls not working properly on spider solitaire cant use ctrl m to check moves have to just use menu bar

have i a big problem i havent loaded any new software onto the computer

Sounds like it might be a virus/spyware thing.

I'm assuming your using windows, try boot into Safe mode and see does it work as it should.
If it does then it's some software on your laptop causing the issue, otherwise, well I don't know

To get into safe mode,
Windows Vista and Windows 7 Safe Mode, as the computer is booting press and hold your "F8 Key" which should bring up the "Windows Advanced Options Menu". Use your arrow keys to move to "Safe Mode" and press your Enter key.
If you want Internet access choose "Safe mode with networking"

ok i switched off computer properly (usually go for restart option or just closed screen) and it all seems fine now wonder what it was
