just drag and drop the specific library icon onto the taskbar and it'll pin it.

Thanks for the reply but this just adds the given library to the windows explorer jump list. I'm looking to add say the video library to the actual taskbar like you would do for chrome etc.

First create a shortcut to the library on your desktop - In windows explorer right click on the library you want to pin, click on "Send to" then "Desktop (create shortcut)"

Right click on shortcut just created, click on "Properties".

In the "Target" box insert "explorer " before the pathname and click on "Apply".

By default the icon will change to the same as the windows explorer icon, if you want to change the icon click on "Change Icon ..." and choose a different icon. Click on "OK". Then "OK" again.

Drag the shortcut to the taskbar.

Thanks for the reply. In my target box this is the text

    "C:\Users\My Name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Libraries\Videos.library-ms"

The quotations marks were there too should I put in explorer before C: or after?

Before the first quote, once you Apply the change it will change to C:\Windows\explorer.exe "C:\Users\My Name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Libraries\Videos.library-ms"
