there are a series of brilliant articles in the Guardian from a bloke doing just this - if you were interested in doing kenya thing [or are a running nerd] you should check them out [life and style section on the app]

I was in Lanza a month or so ago and went to Club la Santa for a visit whilst out on a cycle. It's a hugely impressive spot. I'm not sure how expensive it is but I'm sure there are cheaper ways to go.
I stayed in Puerto del Carmen and hired a bike. I managed to get some cycling, running and swimming in. The running is great there as there is a promenade that goes on for at least 10 miles or so. The cycling is fanastic in Lanza with plenty of options from PdC.
Unless you want access to a running track, then why not go down that route? There might even be a track in PdC I just didn't need one so I didn't research it.

Hi, just got back on Monday from an 8 day break at Club La Santa. Highly recommend! Accomodation is basic but the facilities are top notch and great atmosphere there. All the staff are very friendly and helpful.
If your training for tri then I don't think there is a better place to be - 50 metre outdoor pool where we had a lane to ourselves 90% of the time. Running track for speedwork, off road trails for runs, organised bike spins on the best roads you will ever cycle on.
Where ever you decide to go just be careful with the volume of training you try and fit in. Its very easy to overdo it the first couple of days and feel burnt out later in the week. We got 4 big days in at first then eased off before an Olympic tri at the end of the week.
All in all got in over 25 hours training in the week so there is no better place to get the hours in.
The better half booked the trip but think she booked with CLS directly and flights with Ryanair seperate. You can do it cheap with self catering. Food is top notch at CLS also if you decide to not do the self catering option.

    Best of luck with it.:)

From listening to the Marathon Talk podcasts, these guys do occasional trips abroad for training sessions:

From what I understand it's run by Liz Yelling and her husband Martin (who co-hosts the Marathon Talk show).
