Edision Argus Mini 2in 1 IP - Networking

I have been using an Edision Argus IP for two years now for Satellite and DTT reception and am very happy with it.

Recently I upgraded to the new official firmware and even got the RSS News feeds and weather forecast update features working through my home network router.

One thing I can't seem to do is to 'see' the box on my home network so that I can play recorded video files on other PC's. The roughly translated german manual is not much help in how to set it up. Has anyone here managed to do it?

My main problem is probably a lack of unerstanding of local networking, but I have managed to set up and share various PC's around the house without difficulty - just can't seem to be able to make the satellite box visible on the local network, even though it is obviously obtaining internet access in order to display the RSS feeds. The feature list for the box says that it can be connected to a local network, but I haven't seen any instruction as to how to do it.

    Any suggestions?

Try this if you have not done so already.

The points IP address, subnet mask and network gate can only be achieved when the mark
'Enable DHCP' in spot removed. IP Address: Enter an unused IP address from your network. Subnet
Mask: Enter the network to the appropriate network mask. Network Gate: Enter the IP address from the
gateway to the Internet. Mac Address: This point is given in hardware and displays the ID of the
network interface. Enable DHCP: If you use a DHCP server on your network, you can assign the
receiver will automatically obtain an IP address, highlight this point. Network Enable: Allows you to
enable access to the network or off. Save the settings by pressing the red button. As long as the
settings were not saved, you can reach the green button to the initial settings. Note: Use to enter
numbers, the numeric keys on the remote control. You exit the menu 'Network Settings' by pressing the
    EXIT button.

I dont think it can share but you never know.
