I own a very nice JCW cooper s 2008 bought during the good times and with recessoin and pay cuts this car is costing me too much too keep.

Ive never traded in so just looking for pointers how that would work. Im sure already its not a good idea car was over 40K new and honestly im realistic knowing that if i got 18k now that would be about right. But i was looking to downgrade and now sure how that might word with dealer. but i am sure they would not like to hand me out money and give me cheaper car if they have to sit on mine waiting to sell it.

I'm guessing myself im better off selling private

Generally when trading in a car the more expensive the car you are looking to trade against, the better the price you will get for your own car. When it comes to downgrading I wouldn't hold my breath that a garage would welcome this or give anywhere near what your car is worth.
Try selling privately - www.adverts.ie get some photos of the car up & price keenly. Hope it works out for you

Hi there...just wondering if you know how much more expensive the JCW model is to run compared to the standard Cooper S?

    Thanks

OWEN that posts here had a jcw mini and also sold minis a few years ago. He knows a good bit about them also.
