I'd say if you were to do a quick Google search for HTC address' you'd find one....

I've often been wondering about this too in case my phone (SGS) dies on me.

What do you need to include when posting it to the manufacturer re. forms etc?

Just ring them. It will be far faster than going through emails.

Im shocked at hearing this. I had to return my Desire (Non HD version) last year for a mainboard replacement. They didnt even ask for a receipt or for me to go to Meteor (where i bought it). They were extremely helpful despite the phone taking an age to get back to me.

The repair center is somewhere in Milton Keynes in the UK.

I emailed them initially and they gave me all the details about what to do and who to send it to. Just read the T&C's i posted above. They send you a ticket sheet which you must fill out and include with the phone when sending for repair

Was it second hand? I don't know about HTC but a lot of manufacturers have a bit in their warranty about it not being transferrable. So if it is second hand read the warranty and don't mention it being second hand when dealing with HTC.

If it was new your eBay seller was probably a retailer. You could pester them about getting it fixed.

Can they do that? A warranty is a warranty, no?

I'm not saying HTC do. I'm just saying some vendors do.

A warranty is a set of terms decided by the manufacturer. They can say what they want in it BUT if it's bought new then your statutory rights normally are better than a warranty. If the warranty gives you less than the statutory rights then the vendor has to give you those rights. It doesn't matter what the warranty in that case.

I'm not sure if statutory rights are given when something is bought second hand though.
