    Hi All

We are just trying to get this Stove installation finished and are having problems deciding how to finish it correctly.

We just have a 4' lenght of 6" Flue going into the 8" Chimney liner which we need to finish off with some sort of reducing piece and seal. Does this sound ok plan is to buy this piece and seal it carefully with fire rope and fire cement - This is to be done by our Plumber.

Then also we are unsure of how to finish the wall so that whatever goes on it doesn't crack/discolour/flake away etc. due to the heat involved.

In the picture the granite base is not yet in place so its a bit lower than it will eventually be - Currently there is 150mm on each side and there will be roughly 175 mm at the top.

These measurements do not include the stone, tiling, cladding or whatever else we need to put in there..... (?) After the event it appears as though not enough blockwork was cut away as we are now very limited on what thickness of stone/brick etc. we can stick in there before it start to get close to the Stove sides/top - But I suppose we'll learn from that and break out the con-saw again!!!

Would be gratefull for all sugestions and advice on how to finish this and get it looking well.
