Interview dilemma

    Hi all,

So I found advertisements for numerous jobs within a specific company with two branches in my area. I applied for jobs in both branches, pretty much the same job in each place.

So I got a call from Branch A which is about a 10-15 minute drive from my house (probably longer with traffic) and went for interview there. The interview went fine and I was told I would hear from them on Thursday (tomorrow). However this morning I received a call from Branch B which is literally less than 5 minutes away from my house and which I could walk to if I didn't have the car. They want me to interview on Saturday. I explained that I had already interviewed for Branch A and they said it was no problem, but to let me know if I heard back from that branch before the interview.

So now I don't know what do do, because working in Branch B would be so much more convenient, not simply because of the location, but because I am much more familiar with the layout of the store, the only time I have ever been to Branch A was for the interview. So if I am offered the job from Branch A tomorrow, should I explain to them that I have the other interview and that it would be more convenient for me, or would this be seen as being picky and basically turning down the job offered? Obviously it would be a risk to turn down that job as I am not guaranteed to get the one in Branch B. Any advice on how to handle this?

Sorry if that post is confusing, if anyone need clarification on anything let me know! Thanks.

I would accept the Job in Branch A and still do the interview in Branch B, but i would let them know you were offered the job in A and ask them for the opportunity to interview in B as it is more convenient, A would never find out and you technically wouldnt be doing anything wrong as you wont have signed a contract by saturday anyway.

Honesty is defo the best policy here, and it would be unwise to refuse the job in A just because you might get one closer to home
