I'm guessing this is the one you're talking about. This is the original Welsh long version from a few years ago which the RSA is now using.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

Its about time they stopped portraying males as the main cause of all road accidents. The exact same accident happened a few years ago on the main Tullamore to Portarlington although it wasn't caused by being on a mobile.

Ye, it's actually part of a 30 minute film called 'COW', after the driver who's name is Cassie Cowan.

Lost count of the number of times I've nearly been taken out on my bike by young ladies on their phones. (Not saying men don't do either, but it has happened far less frequently)

Wasn't this already screened in the cinema or something?

I can remember it being discussed anyway, someone mentioned that Ford wouldn't be happy with the Ka crashing into the Mondeo...

Or perhaps someone just posted it as an example of a good ad, I'm pretty sure I've seen it on here before though.

Ye, you probably did see it before, it's been around a while. But the RSA have only recently started using it on TV.

One big takeaway from the RSA add campaigns over the years was that people die in Fords. Many years ago there was an add with the catch line of 'Let's stop the bloody slaughter' or something along those lines featuring a slightly disguised Sierra. Later, there was the Escort hitting the Granada/Scorpio in the 'they say it was the guy without the seatbelt who did the damage' episode. Now this.

There was a reprieve for Ford when a Nissan Primera featured in the episode designed to scare the **** out of kids playing football in the back garden, but the sole occupant in that car survived the impact. The other ones that spring to mind was the young lad in the Megane Coupe who creamed a pedestrian while checking out a girl and the Honda Civic that takes out the couple sitting on the wall, again with the occupants of the car surviving.

speaking as a young lady driver I'd never text while driving!I can't even change stations on the radio! Eyes on the road at all times folks :D On the subject of the RSA ads though, I can't watch them, they freak me out too much. Which I suppose means they're both effective and ineffective, in that they scare me into good driving but the later campaigns are totally lost on me because I can't bring myself to watch them :P

Has anyone a link to that ad?

I can still here the song, 'What a wonderful world' playing in the background

    jaysis

    pretty bad stuff!

I always look at how safe a car is before i would buy one. Fiestas and Ka's are basically coffins with wheels.

Considering they didn't make it themselves, I suppose it has some hope of actually being useful....
