anyone interersted in forming a regular 3v3 / 4v4 team?
ive a few friends i play 2v2 with, but anytime we get together for a 3v3 or 4v4 we dont work too well as they dont know each other..

so, if anyone is interested, lemme know! would be nice to get some wins on the ladder and maybe improve team playing etc.

I'd be up for 3v3 definitely, not sure about 4v4, I'll try but I'll probably lag.

Can do Terran or Zerg. Protoss bores me.

I play 2v2 a lot but wouldn't mind trying 3v3 , i can play as terran or protoss..

I don't play all that regularly and am not that great but would love to find me some "friends" to play with. I've played very little with other and think I might still be doing my placement matches there.

I play protoss. Love me some phoenix harrass when I have team mates to hold the defence.

    Hey add me.

been playing alot of 3v3/4v4 with some mates of mine, but they are not always online. And its somewhat disorintating going back to 1v1 after alot of 3v3 as the tactics are so different.

    play zerg.

Right, tomorrow evening around 8 suit people?

    Sure.

maybe. dont know if minding family or not.

On a side note. Me and my two mates have been going heavy at 3v3 the last few nights and have climbed up a fairly impressive turnaround in wins.

Sadly despite being over 200 points and 20 wins over our nearest rival in our league we are still stuck in silver. We are constantly being thrown platinum/diamond (and now recently masters) level players but cannot for the life of it convince battle.net to move us up from silver :(

if you heard about last time us server get a 'adjustment', alot of people get promoted during a period of time. i think they havent done it to eu, i am always top 5 in my 3v3 and 4v4 since last year but still havent get promoted :pac: according to my friend who farmed 3v3/4v4 master, he said it is very hard to get master, i think he won like 2k-3k games lol

I'll team up for the 4v4's, all i play really, i'm a top 10 diamond with random teammate's, which can get very frustrating sometimes, especially when the whole other team knows how to rush, well.

But tomorrow is the start of exam week, so can't join up just yet, how about we play some 4v4's at the Lan, then form the team?

P.S., cybersquaters have taken the url www.starcraft.ie

team games are silly, i got to masters 3v3 with my 5 placement games.... only took like an hour, a total cheese fest , just really cheapens the prestiege of being in master league

ps:sorry for raining on you parade :p

thats your opinion :p for me, i see the cheese as a method to allow your ally the time to build up while the enemies are forced to help each other counter the cheese. its a great way to play, and it takes a lot more to learn to counter than in 1v1.

as for masters in 5 placement games, do you still play the 3v3?

team games to me are much more fun than 1v1

Its really about the social and 'fun' element when playing 3v3 or 4v4. I love how gamers can feel elitest just because they play a different game mode

I think a great strat in 4v4's would be to have 2 zergs, one drones and cash dumps, the other goes mass roach/hydra. the other 2 players fill in the weak holes in the army, such as AA or keep the enemy distracted with harass.

The droning player also macros for the other zerg, by going imba creep spreading and vomitting larva for them, so they can focus purely on unit production and tactical decisions.

    TO RoyalMarine, WhiteNight and Feanor.

I'm sorry for bailing in the middle of our 4v4 last night. A very drunken girlfriend needed to be let in and helped into bed.

I felt like we were holding them off really well just before I left and then I left so I've no idea how that game ended?

I might stick to 1v1 in the future. I didn't feel like I contributed that much and I was hit hard a few times in early games and after that you kind of just sit there and do your best to recover. Could clearly see the difference in skill level as you guys macro'd like pros.

No worries erik, it's easy to get slammed early in 4v4's, like imagine 24 zerglings showing up at your ramp at the 3:30 mark, that **** is lame, that's why ya gotta scout early.
Also it's important to respond quickly to an allies distress, the more of his units you save, the more of yours he can save next time.

My allies had my back for the most part but often it meant losing my wall of buildings. In a few games I was the only one to scout, especially vs random players. I still feel bad about dropping out so suddenly cause it was a tense game and I would have liked to finish it. I had my blink stalkers up and going and flanking the enemy whenever they pushed.

Do you remember how that game ended? You guys would have gotten a sweet amount of resources once I left.

Don't know about today. Studying and girlfriend that both need my attention.

meh, i just think that masters 2v2/3v3/4v4 is roughly the same as gold/silver 1v1. dont mean to be an asshole or anything, but i was just shocked when io got masters 3v3 so easy, everyone we played in the placement games (masters and diamond teams) just cheesed regardless of the map or our openings. We (decent 1v1 players) dominated them after their cheese failed, as they had actually no idea how to paly the game after their pet build failed, which I think completely ruins the whole purpose of the ''master'' status.

To be honest, any noob can 6pool every game and get to masters in team leagues, and i despise these kinds of players, and ruins the awesome potential of team games.

We didn't cheese once in all 8 or so games we played yesterday. Despite me suggesting a proxy build, which we ended up being killed by instead.

teamgame is for fun, Greg :pac: it is certainly easier to get to higher league in teamgame if your 1v1 is decent(you need to get a partner and work out a strat) but if you think you can go in team game and start pawning everyone, thats just not gonna happen.

the BO/timing is not as tight as in 1v1 and you can make alot of mistakes since you have the team to back you up but the 'skills' involved of how to work as a team is something very different from 1v1. is for fun tho, in the end of the day.
