    Folks
Will be in East Clare for an overnighter in a couple of weeks - looking for any town to rest up in for an evening (good pubs & eateries - the usual) - anywhere between Feakle & Sixmilebridge.
Don't know the area - any recommendations welcome!

Your best bet would probably be Killaloe.
It's the most Touristy of towns in East Clare - You'd have a good choice of places to Eat, and places to Stay. And there will be a few people around.

After that you have Tulla, Scarriff, Sixmilebridge... all grand places and lovely people, but not much happening there.

I also recommend Killaloe. You might find this website useful. http://www.discoverkillaloe.com/

There are some really nice places to eat and drink too.

    Goosers Bar & Restaurant http://www.goosers.ie/contact1.php

    Flanagan's on the Lake http://www.clare.ie/pubs_dining/view/restaurants-65/flanagans_on_the_lake-650.html

If you are looking for between the places you mention then you have bnbs in feakle, tulla, kilkishen, and sixmilebridge all travelling in the direction, village to village, along the road from feakle to sixmilebridge.

I'd also recommend Killaloe but in saying that it's not really anywhere between Feakle and Sixmilebridge.

Besides these two places you'll find Tulla and Kilkishen, the latter a definite no no.

If Killaloe is a non-runner I'd recommend Sixmilebridge. There's about 7 pubs always good craic, The Miller's Loft is a nice restaurant reasonably priced and there's plenty of BnBs to choose from.

Also you're in close proximity to Bunratty, about a tenner taxi ride if we wish to visit Durty Nellys for scoops.
