    Hey all,

Just wondering if many people here read any car magazines?

I used to buy Evo a lot while I was younger but I just got sick of looking at cars that I would never be able to afford and I suppose I just wanted to know a little bit more about how cars worked.

I have started buying Redline on a regular basis recently and compared to the old Redline which was very similar to Fast Car and Max Power, it has "grown up" a lot in the last few years and does some interesting features. It also does some testing each month on different things like turbos, suspensions etc explains how they work and tests how they can improve a car.

    Anyone else read anything similar?

Evo still the only one I regularly get. I like reading about cars I can't afford.

Yeah, me too. I mean, 95% of being a car enthusiast is daydreaming anyway, isn't it?;)

I try to buy redline whenever i can, it's actually a really good magazine. They had a feature recently about the differences in cheap tires, performance tires and part worn's it was informative.

Never really did, use the net. I do (rarely) buy one that has special on a car I own (tips and featurette) or am thinking of owning. Im not at all interested in supercars and the like, so much whats in car mags; hypercar X vs supercar Y is fluff to me (IMO, I know most people like Konigseggggg ;) ).

I like autocar for the columnists. But you get 90% of that from the website these days. Detest autoexpress with a passion. Motoring equivalent of the Daily Mail.

Car mechanics is the only one I read regularly. Had to get a subscription as local newsagents couldn't source it:rolleyes: also get the odd practical classics. Actually today in a small newsagent i spotted an irish classics mag. Never seen it before.
