    Hi everyone.
I was working as partime neuromuscular therapist in 2010 and now struggling here to fill in the Form 11E. I would be grateful if anyone could help me out with few questions.

    1) What can I put under "125. Purchases" ?
    2) I have the following expenses (read below) can I put them all under "134. Other expenses" ?
    uniform
    office supplies
    marketing
work equipment (such as towels, oils, massage plinth etc.)
    books
    association membership fee
    insurance
    rent

    3) Also I was employed and subject to PAYE. So I understand that this figure goes under "212. (a) Gross amount of income from Irish Employments.." ?

Were you doing private work as well as your employment? If all you have is an employment that part of the return doesn't apply.

If you are doing private work what really matters is the profit figure at 104 and 105. Getting things into the wrong place in the accounts extract might cause Revenue to scratch their heads, but that's mostly statistical stuff. From a practical point of view a lot of expenses go into 134, which is the balancing line. Unless you're sure of where to put a specific expense just tot them all up and use 134.

Your employment income goes at 212(a).

Follow this link: http://www.revenue.ie/en/tax/it/tax-return-forms.html There's an explanatory helpsheet for an 11E linked halfway down the page.

    Good luck!

think of the heading "purchases" as meaning "purchases for re-sale", so it might include the oils, but none of the other stuff you listed. they are all "other".
