    Hi there i just sold my car and was thinking about the log book. I had the vehical ownership doc in the car and im not sure if thats it or not. Can anyone advise

    Yeah, that's it. It's called the Vehicle Registration Certificate.

    Your supposed to post it off with the name and address of the new owner filled in on it when you sell the car.

    Is it still in the car?

    The seller sends this document off to Shannon, you do not let the buyer take it.
    The buyer can now keep driving the car in your name for as long as he likes, any fines etc goes in your name (unless it's a upstanding citizen and he fills it out and posts it off of course).
