Accommodation in Barcelona

I've just booked a few days in Barcelona with my mother for next month. I'm looking for some accommodation reccommendations. We are looking for somewhere central but quiet enough at night time. I've heard that a lot of the hotels around Las Ramblas are quite noisy at night time. And somewhere not too dear either :) Thanks!

Hotel Lleo at the very top of the ramblas is reasonable and very convenient. Make sure and ask for the rooms on the top floor (601,602 & 603 I think). They have massive balconys, jacuzzi bath and are way nicer than any of the other rooms. Plus you have the benefit of being right beside the roof top pool and bar.
