New to Android and Vodafone are offering me a new phone. Have been using the Sony Ericsson Satio which has some great features but since it's Symbian it's fairly crappy at times. Looking for a good camera like the 12.1 mp on the Satio and an okay battery life unlike the Satio. Plus gps and wifi etc. What do you think?

(and no I don't want an iPhone)

the sony ericcson phones still have great cameras.

in reality, the only way you will get good battery life is by not using features, in which case there is no point getting a smartphone. its catch 22.
example, i get roughly 18 hours from my desire with a fair amount of usage.
or, if i switch to airplane mode and leave the screen off, i use about 2-3% of battery in 8 hours (overnight usually)

Why don't you just switch it off?

Yeah i appreciate that the battery life on smartphones is usually not brilliant but sometimes they can be pretty poor, which I obviously don't want. The Satio has the same battery as the K800i, which was great on the k800i but not great on the satio.

Anyone used any of the Sony Ericsson androids?

whats the battery like on the Satio? bad doesnt say much. bad is when im on my Desire HD and i play some games in the morning and ive only got 50% battery left at lunch.

Android is great, but you have to realise that you're battery will not last more than 1 day without making big sacrifices.

Just as long as it isn't worse than the norm. Had a motorola before and the battery needed charging every day and it wasn't a smartphone.
