Had the back pads and discs changed by fast fit last week, however the sensor is still on. The front ones are fine (changed last Autumn). where is the best place to get this sensor knocked off? Have an NCT coming up.

To replace sensor, any good garage can do that.
Or you can do it yourself http://www.e46fanatics.com/howto/howtodetail.php?howto_id=29

As poster above says you need to replace the sensor, although you could fool the system with a resistor also. The sensor is only €20, so worth changing.

Do you know if its the front or rear sensor? Its hard to tell which one it is without using a meter as both are wired in series. Do you know if the rear sensor was touching the discs? Your front sensor could be the faulty one, so don't rule that out.
