Hi Guys.I got this e-mail today.Anyone ever heard of this Web Exchange marketing, or have any experience of this.Sounds too good to be true, how do they profit.Any observations welcome

..........Good Afternoon,My name is *****, founder of (removed) I'd like to propose a 3-way link swap with your website (removed), where you receive 2 links in exchange for one of yours.3-way linking is a very effective link building strategy. Since you're getting the links from third party websites, they appear totally natural to search engine algorithms. Such inbound links help your website rank higher in Google and other search engines. Our partner sites (the ones that link to you) are at least 3 years old with a minimum pagerank of PR3. This program obviously doesn't involve any payments, because all parties benefit from additional links.Visit (removed) to submit your website. Thanks,*****

I had a similar experience with my site, a random site emailed me saying bla bla bla. Sometimes it can be legit sometimes they themselves could just be scanning the net and emailing every site they can. I would check out the site they are suggesting. It is entirely up to you. I had on my page as "Sites We Like" they also did the same on their site but compiled of 100's of links.

After a month I just removed their link :) and they kept theirs. However the site you mentioned sounds likes a scam and not very reputable. I checked it out its ranked 23million in the Internet according to alexa. I wouldn't bother with it IMO

They pull link juice out of your site and bottle it up to sell to other less above board customers who practice black hat SEO or use the link juice for a short term increase in site ranking. Google trawlers notice your site is involved in a link building farm scam, generally it ignores link farms from the start and will find your pages less relevant for linking to non relevant content. This kinda thing used to work in the 1990's but not anymore.

In other words participating in this is pointless at best and could get you a Google slap at worst. Avoid.

[Mods, edit the OP's post to remove the link]
