I have had a few spells of stress/ anxiety and mild depression these last few years. When it gets bad my appetite gets really poor and i'll ony eat maybe once a day and only someting small like toast or a little pain pasta. I usually feel terrible after eating more than i feel up to but if I dont, i know i'll be so tired. Should I be pushing myself to eat more than i feel like or just kind of riding the spell out untill my appetite gets better and putting up with the tiredness.

You probably should eat properly OP, though I have to admit I just live on coffee as I know it's only short term cases of stress myself

Ye I get stressed and depressed now and again and one of the first thing to do is the appetite. Try and get some nourishment into you. I think it helps.

I have only once lost my appetite through stress - during a bad break up.

You can get nutrition shakes in chemists called Build Up, in vanilla, strawberry and chocolate flavours. They are given to old or sick people in hospitals to give them the vital vitamins and minerals that they need. They are very filling and easy on the tummy. Even if you eat small, if you snack on these or youghurts its better than just plain pasta.

This is only a short term thing though - you really need to talk to your doctor about managing your stress so that you can work on getting a good appetite again

thanks for the advice everyone. I just have one more week of college left and all my essays and presentations will be over so hopefully things will get back to normal then.
