spanner sprays

    Hey guys,

I wasn't sure what to title this thread but has anyone noticed these spray painted spanner markings on the street around dublin city? They are sprayed across those hatches on the street that open up for various construction.

They look like someone has layed a little spanner down and sprayed yellow on top of it so that the outline is left behind!

There are LOADS of them around and I was just wondering if anyone has a confirmed answer to what they are?

    Thanks in advance,
    -Vinny xXx

    ... Manholes....

They're on far more than just manholes, Even the traffic light poles and other various poles that can open up have been duct taped shut and sprayed with this yellow paint!
There EVERYWHERE! I'm suprised you only saw two... strange...

Could they not have got a spanner stencil rather than that?

Really shows the contempt t.p.t.b. have for this city and its general appearance IMO.

If a bunch of gurriers were sneaking about the city centre doing it I wonder would they be arrested by the Garda? (LOL)

It's also worth noting that the Georgian coal-holes and their covers are protected structures; I haven't heard anything from DCC's conservation office about this cultural vandalism.

I think they may be washing away though! I'm not sure if some of them is just lightly sprayed or they actualy are washing away from the rain the past few days!

    Who authorised this illegal vandalism?

    And couldn't they get Banksy?

The northside end of the m50 iis covered with much larger yellow crossess. On all the boxes and overpassess pillars. Going north. Looks real bad and im sure will never come off.

Surely there must be better security seals they can use. Havnt seen this done any other countries.

You follow heads of state about the globe checking on their security concerns?.

I'm just suggesting that the large yellow crosses along the m50 from the brand new flyovers in blanchardstow to coolock, sometimes up to 5 alltogether, up to 1 meter high in some places(eg. In front of the go carting track), is Graffitti that will be there for years to come.

    Vandals.
