Hi there. My brother updated the his dell inspiron last week and now runs Ubuntu 11.4 instead of the previous 10.4 version. The problem now is that he cant get online on his upc/Belkin router. Other laptops in the house connect no problem but they run on windows. Also the IPhone he has connects no problem. I have also connected my mobile broadband with O2 and it connected fine. Tried to search for additional drivers but its all up to date. Any help will be great???????

first connect the pc to the internet with a cable, this will alow it to look for driver updates

    accessories - terminal
this will give you a black screen in which you can type in lspci which lists pci card

other commands to try to get some info on thecard you have

    iwconfig

    ifconfig
