Hair for Communion

    hey everyone
    i have a communion coming up and i am looking for ideas to do with my hair.
    i got a lovely maxi dress to wear, v-neck with cap sleeves. i have shoulder length very thick hair. i ALWAYS wear my hair straight when i go out at the weekend. would love to try something different. i am useless at styling my own hair. friend of mine tried doing a curly blow dry recently and it was awful, my hair is too short and thick, looked like i had a set or something!! anybody got some ideas???

    Maybe curl it, and then pin back most of it into a sort of messy bun at the back, leaving enough at the front to have a few thich-ish long soft curls at the front?

    (I can picture it in my head, hard to explain)
