I love Luc Besson, but isn't this just another Nikita?

Is it a sequel to Leon?

Trailer is quite misleading, Besson is just one of the two writers of the screenplay, written along with his writer partner Robert Mark Kamen.

They did write Taken, but the trailer hints towards Besson as director.
It is directed by the director of Transporter 3 (and not much else) Olivier Megaton.

Rubbish film, 2/5. Zoe Saldana's character was so good at her job as to be almost invincible which removed any element of suspense, whilst also being totally unrealistic, I'm not a stickler to realism but when the film is meant to be serious, then its a problem. There were plenty of more issues with plausability besides, in addition the characters were generally bland and uninspiring. Also surprisingly sexist, in the respect that she seems to be half naked or wearing incredibly revealing clothing while carrying out her hit jobs, its not necessary other than to titillate the audience. Standard popcorn fare but not a classic, a sub mediocre film.

Regardless of how bad this movie is, the director has an awesome second name. Megaton.

I was thinking it looked okay based on the trailer. Will probably wait for the DVD.
