I withdrew money from paypal to my bank a/c on 28 April - still no sign of it hitting the account

I rang paypal this mroning and was told that all Irish withdrawal transactions on 27 & 28 April were stopped due to a problem - he said I will eventually get the money but doesn't know when?!

    Anyone else heard this?

yes - I have the exact same problem .

Transferred out of paypal on Thurs 28th April and it still has not appeared in bank account .

Even though another one transferred out on 1st May appeared 3 days later .

Paypal assured me that the money would be in bank a/c by 9th May latest .( today ) but this did not happen .

When there is a problem , it normally bounces back into Paypal ., but this did not happen either .

There has been a lot of problems with PayPal lately in relation to hack attacks and people trying hack the system.I know a few people who had this problem when withdrawing on both those days. They rang Paypal and explained their money is safe. Its just a little delay don't worry guys! ;)

You should still be ok, though I am surprised to hear of these issues in all honesty, it is unlike PayPal.

Somewhat off-topic, but it's not worth starting a thread. Somebody in Canada told me 36 hours ago that they'd paid money into my PayPal account, but it still ain't there. Is there normally a delay (it's the first time I've received money)?

No, you should have it instantly. Check they sent it to the right email address.

No problem, has this been sorted?

Actually, it has. The paypal account said there was nothing there, but there was an e-mail (in a little used account) saying he was trying to send money. It turns out the account wasn't "activated" (I think that was the word), so it couldn't receive money; there had been no problem with spending money. A click on a link and it was sorted!

    Simple fix

When you have your PayPal account open, open a new window and key in www.paypal.com/wdfunds

This brings you to the old payment format and you can complete it as normal.

I know this as the company I work for has the same issue. Our advantage is we taken in a fair bit and have an account manager in Ballycoolin that we can call directly.
