looking for midrange 205/55/16 tyres (2) in cork city. Only do city/suburb with a few trips to monaghan and around the country in between. Dont go above speed limit. Dont want chinese budget tyre (been down that road!!) but dont want top performing brand either.

been quoted so far in different places

    1) 75 euros for dayton
    2) 70 euros for sonar
    3) 85 euros for semperit
    4) 90 euros for hankook
    5) Heard sportiva are good tyre but cant find anyone who stocks them.

Any thoughts as to what i should go for and whether the prices are reasonable?

    Thanks,
    Rusty

I've dealt with a crowd on Henry Street for car tyres a few times, always found them OK to deal with, parking can be a PITA as it's near the Mercy Hospital.

Corbett Tyres, same lad used to own SideTrax, now The Grafton Bar.

OP, Semperit or Hankook would be ideal for you I would think.

    thanks everyone !!

what about dayton ( budget brand of bridgestone) - anyone have any good bad experience of these tyres?

Also, michelin energy saver tyres seem to be good also - got quoted 120 euros for these whereas i saw a guy in dublin saying he can fit them for 94 euros.
On camskill they are 90 euros delivered

    Thanks,
    Rusty

Bridgestone ER300 ecopia are another option should be around 90-100. Had michelin energy and dont think they are worth the 115-120 price tag in most places

Same size tyre as my wifes car:

I always get tyres from Sean O'Connell Tyres in Crossbarry, he has either Vredestein or Uniroyals in that size for €90 , both good tyres.
