Confused About Love

So I am currently with my girlfriend a year but every few months we had some down time due to my career where I only see her maybe once a week. I don't really miss her at all when shes not around.

However when I call over I always have a great time relaxing together, chatting & kissing. Shes really my best friend in the world and I would do anything for her to make her happy. When she is sick I mind her, when she is sad I make her happy, when somethings on her mind I listen to her for hours. I wanta do those things for her.

What I am worried about is I dont understand what I am meant to feel in relation to love, i am a massively practical person but I am also a romantic person I dont want to break her heart by continuing this relationship.

    Thanks for any help guys

In my opinion, physicality can only go so far, as there are plenty of examples where someone is swinging off the chandeliers having amazing sex and yet it's just about that act

You've described your feelings, and those feelings are of love, and are also similar to wedding vows actually;)

The fact is, she is your best friend, and you care deeply about her. She is also your lover and you would do anything for her. People experience love in a multitude of different ways, but it sounds to me like you've already found it.

Maybe Motley Crue has a point - maybe you are in love with her and don't realise it.

Love doesn't have to be a big flaming ball of overwhelming desire and passion. Lasting love is what is left over when that burns out - that's my take on love anyway.

I suppose think about why you're with her: Do you want to stay with her? Do you see a future in which you can be happy together? Can you give her what she needs and can she do the same from you?

If you want to stay with her but don't know how you're feeling I'd say talk to her about it and keep talking about it. A relationship is a partnership - you need to keep communicating and decide what to do together.
