Spekulativ Fiktion is a Cork (Eire) based rapper and beatmaker, working in the doomy (and at times experimental) side of hip hop. His material has been described as 'articulate, compassionate, anarchic... and all very relevant.' His live shows are well-defined by their inclusion of untraditional instrumentation and live jams, intertwined with gritty samples and storytelling. Last year he shared the stage with the likes of Shabazz Palaces (Sub Pop) and Ganjasufi (Warp).

'Deathly Words' is the first ep of two to be released in 2013 (Spek's full length debut will follow). The release also features Deviant & Naive Ted and Mikey Fingers (Community Skratch), both of turntable group Vince Mack Mahon, as well as DJ Jus Me, the man behind the Hobo Convention.

'Deathly Words' can be streamed from bandcamp.

Touring and nationwide gigging will take place this coming summer.
